Final folio meaning9/11/2023 This exhibit is hosted by The Woodrow Wilson Center in conjunction with the Embassy of Slovakia, Friends of Slovakia and the Embassy of Canada. A number of the works in the exhibition are already part of the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. So a Ledger is a book of Accounts in which all types of Accounts relating to assets, liabilities, capital, expenses and revenues are maintained. Last Folio has been seen on both sides of the Atlantic from Brussels, Cambridge, Moscow and Berlin through Vienna and Rome from New York and Boston to Bloomington, Indiana, and the United Nations to mention just a few. All the Accounts recognized based on transactions recorded in different journals will be opened and maintained in a separate book called Ledger. The stunning photographs in this exhibition show remnants of a lost world- abandoned buildings and synagogues- disintegrating books left on the shelves in a Jewish school in Eastern Slovakia - the school children, their teachers and their families were all deported to concentration camps on the same day in 1942.
